The road construction in Lapeer is really making things inconvenient. Not only is Main St all blocked off, but also Oregon Rd. I don’t understand why the city can’t finish one project before starting another one. I’m sure the businesses down Oregon Rd. are struggling. I personally avoid trying to go down that way at all costs. Isn’t there a way to be more thoughtful of the public when planning these projects?

I’m really looking forward to this Holiday season. I’m getting many fliers for craft shows and other holiday events around town. It would be nice to have an events calendar somewhere where everyone can go and put their events on it for everyone to see. That way people wanting to attend can plan ahead. Maybe there is one I just don’t know about. I’m not much of a social media user, but maybe I’ll check around on there for some local events pages.
We need more DoorDashers in Lapeer. So many times, I’ve waited a few hours for my food and by the time I get it it’s cold. It can be a good side hustle for people. I do it when I can for extra money.
I heard that the broadband project may not be coming afterall. I use to want the project, but I recently was able to get fiber internet through a recent Charter project on my road. So maybe everyone in the county will have high speed internet in a few years
Well deer season is in full force. It’s obvious we’re in the rut as the dead deer on the side of the roads is ridiculous. Who is responsible for all the rotting deer that were hit? Maybe we need to find more hunters. I don’t know if that’s the problem or if the deer population is just getting out of control. Can we get some roadkill clean up, please?
I have read quite a few negative comments about the road construction in Lapeer. I am grateful that the work is being done and look forward to the results. I Thank you to the entities responsible for this project.
